1993. SEGA develops a video game called "Michael Jackson's Scramble Training" for their Advance Simulator One hardware. It is a giant hydraulically powered flight simulator and Jackson is the pilot; he instructs the viewer on the steps to receive the space pilot license. The simulator ride is released in SEGA amusement parks in 1993, although that year, SEGA quietly removes 'Scramble Training' due to the (false) allegations breaking out the time. Michael Jackson was a huge video-game fan and had a passion for anything cosmic. Below is a video and a transcript for "Michael Jackson's Scramble Training" for your reading pleasure... "Welcome, everyone, to Scramble Training. I am your flight officer commanding the A shuttle. I am commander Jackson. By completing this training successfully, you will be qualified for this space pilot’s licence. Please, hold firmly to the handles in front of you: AS1. Commence loading sequence. […] Before you is the training orbitory of the A shuttle. We will load you on the bowel section of the shuttle for a space flight training. […] Loading completed. Our first task is test the trigger mojo. The lights on the handle, before you use the trigger, push them. Now. […] We will start with our mission. The first will be engine ignition training. The A shuttle carries 8 engines – number 1 through 8. Come on, everybody, we’re going to into the big legion now. All engines to maximum! A shuttle is now going orbit. Our next mission will be comeback training. […] All weapons have been disarmed. So need not worry (inaudible). Damn it, it is severe. I am handling the control over to the AS1 for emergency landing. AS1, this is command! Who is the most qualified planet for this emergency? [presses different buttons]. AS1 (inaudible), you have the gun, you take control, it’s all yours. Remember: our fate is in your hands. A Shuttle?.. Push the right button! Push the low button! […] Okay, we’re right on the track – keep it coming, keep it coming.. Wow! [on landing] Touchdown! Engage airbreaks. [breathes a sigh of relief] All okay… Thanks for your support. I’m opening the boarding hatches now, so please deshuttle order. You have earned your space pilot’s licence. Congratulations, pilots. And please come again soon. Goodbye."
