Composed By Barrett Strong/Norman Whitfield

This was recorded by the Jackson 5 for their album, Get It Together, released in September 1973 in the US and November 1973 in the UK. The lead vocals - such as they were - by Jackie and Tito Jackson.

It was originally recorded by the Temptations, for their 1970 album, Psychedelic Shack - also recorded by another Motown act, Rare Earth, for their 1973 album, MA.

All three versions were produced by Norman Whitfield.

It is essentially an instrumental track, with scatting and improvised vocals - the song's chorus states, 'ain't no words in this song, you just dance and hum along.' Michael, in the Jackson 5 version, on hearing the song's chorus can be heard saying: 'Ain't no words? What you mean?' - to which Tito responds, 'we ain't had time to write none!'

Written by Jermaine, Jackie, Tito and Randy with Gene Griffin and Aaron Hall.

It is the title track of a Jacksons album recorded by Jermaine, Jackie, Tito and Randy (but not Michael and Marlon), issued in June 1989.

It featured backing vocals by 'The Jackson Family and Children', including Michael, Janet, Rebbie and Tito's sons, 3T.

It charted at no.9 on the R&B singles chart, but failed to make the Hot 100, in the US - it peaked at no.76 in the UK.

A promo short film, directed by Greg Gold, featured members of the Jackson family, including Michael.

2300 Jackson Street - Lyrics

2300 Jackson street
2300 Jackson street
2300 Jackson street

Memories of growing up
And working hard
Our childhood passed us by

Mom and Dad
They sacrificed their wants and needs
So we could reach the light

Although the times were tough for us
We knew they both worked hard
They gave us all their hearts could give

And still made room for love
We're all united
And standing strong
And still today
We're one big family

(chorus)
2300 Jackson Street
Always home
2300 Jackson Street
Always home

Oooooo
In harmony, together we'll
Join Hands and sing
Our love across the land

Remember we always said, if we got a chance
We'll plan our work
And work our master plan

Although the road of life is tough
It has its ups and downs
We are the one and all
If we stay together
We can conquer all

We are united
And standing strong
And still today
We're one big family
Oooooooh

(chorus)

Mother and Father
They raised us to be
The best that we could be

Now the stage is set
The curtain's up
The crowd applauds your name

Then give a smile
Lets do you're best
No matter how far we go

(chorus)

All Night Dancin' - Lyrics

I don't like it, baby
When you're stopping me on the floor
’Cause the more I keep on dancing
The more I keep wanting some more

I don't care what you're saying
You're talking in my ear much to loud
And the music's taking my body
On a trip from nine to five

Keep me dancing
(All night)
Wanna keep me groovin’
(All night)
Rockin’ and rollin’
(All night)
Ain’t nobody’s business
(All night)

I’m gonna dance up fire
I’m calling engine number 109
There ain’t no chains to hold me
Gonna burn this place down till five

And you can't stop this fever
'Cause my temperature’s burning hot, hot
All I wanna do is dance, dance
Sweating from my face to my feet

Keep me dancing
(All night)
Gotta keep me movin’
(All night)
Ain’t nobody’s business but mine
(All night)
(All night)
Keep me groovin’

(Dancin’)

* Produced by Michael Jackson
* Composed by Michael Jackson
and Marlon Jackson

Written and produced by Michael, with additional lyrics by brother Marlon.

Although it is effectively a solo cut by Michael, it featured on the Jacksons' album Victory, released in July 1984.

Titled Always, Be Not Always, it is one of five songs hand-written by Michael circa 1979 - lyrics included in a personal notebook, with young actor Mark Lester on the cover, that formed part of a 10,000+ piece of collection of Jackson memorabilia purchased by Universal Express and some of its entertainment partners, in November 2006.

Be Not Always - Lyrics

Always, be not always
And if always
Bow our heads in shame
Always, please be not always
And if always
Bow our heads in blame
’Cause time has made promises
Just promises

Faces, did you see their faces
Did they touch you
Have you felt such pain
To have nothing
To dream something
Then lose hoping
Is not life but lame
But time has made promises
Just promises

Mothers cry, babies die
Helplessly in arms
While rockets fly
And research lies
In progress to become
But what of men
Of flesh and blood
We turn our backs on life
How can we claim to stand for peace
When the races are in strife
Destroying life

Always, be not always
But if always
Bow our heads in shame
Always, please, please be not always
’Cause if always
Bow our heads in blame
’Cause time, time has made promises
Death promises

Composed By Michael Jackson/Jackson, D./Elmar Krohn

First brought to the attention of the Jacksons, after one of their representatives heard it, at the Midem Music Festival in 1978.

It is the lead single, and the only track the brothers didn't write themselves, from the Jacksons' album Destiny, issued in December 1978.

It charted in the US at no.3 on the R&B singles chart and a lowly no.54 on the Hot 100, and peaked at no.8 in the UK. A special 7 minute Extended Disco Remix featured slight alternate vocals.

Mick Jackson's original version was rush-released, once it became known the Jacksons' cover was being issued as a single. The two versions by similarily named artists understandably led to confusion among record buyers, especially in the UK, where Mick's version charted at no.15.

Mick Jackson has confirmed he loves the Jacksons version of his song, and Jay Kay's 2003 cover as well. Michael and Mick have met several times. "The first time was in a lift in the Montcalm Hotel in London and we just said hi," Mick recalls. "Later, at the Top Of The Pops TV show in London, he asked me to sell him my jump suit I was wearing for the show and I declined... MJ was performing Destiny with his brothers."

Blame It on the Boogie - Lyrics

My baby’s always dancin’
And it wouldn’t be a bad thing
But I don’t get no lovin’
And that’s no lie
We spent the night in Frisco
At every kind of disco
From that night I kissed our love goodbye

Don’t blame it on the sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogie
Don’t blame it on the sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the boogie

That nasty boogie bugs me
But somehow it has drugged me
Spellbound rhythm gets me on my feet
I’ve changed my life completely
I’ve seen the lightning leave me
And my baby just can’t take her eyes off me

I just can’t
I just can’t
I just can’t control my feet

This magic music grooves me
That dirty rhythm fools me
The devil’s gotten me
Through this dance
I’m full of funky fever
A fire burns inside me
Boogie’s got me in a super trance

Sunshine
Moonlight
Good times
Boogie

Don’t you blame it
You just got to
You just want to
Yeah, oh
Blame it on yourself
Ain’t nobody’s fault
But yours and that boogie
Dancing all night long
