This was recorded by Michael on 31st August 1973 (at the age of 14) - the same day he also recorded Don't Let It Get You Down and Girl You're So Together.

This remained unreleased until May 1984, when it was one of nine previously unheard songs remixed and included on a 'new' Motown album, Farewell My Summer Love 1984 (the '1984' was quickly dropped).

This title track preceded the album as a single, and surpassed all expectations, charting at no.7 in the UK, no.37 on the R&B chart and no.38 on the Hot 100 in the US.
