Recorded by Michael for his Forever Michael album, issued in January 1975 in the US and March 1975 in the UK.

It was also released as a single in the UK in April 1975 but failed to chart. It was then re-activated by Motown in 1981, to cash-in on the success of Michael's Off The Wall album and it stormed to no.1 in Australia, Belgium, Holland, Ireland, South Africa, the UK and Zimbabwe. It gave Michael his first solo no.1 in the UK with over 500,000 sales.

ok, la chanson est un peu gnan-gnan mais on l'écoute sans se lasser... J'avais jamais fait attention au choeurs plus que ça mais maintenant que vous en parlez...pouah !!! Effectivement on s'en serait bien passé ! Mais sa voix est en train d'acquérir une maturité pas désagréable du tout, on présent là les intonations un peu rauques et les notes basses et vibrantes qu'ils nous laissera entendre sur Off The Wall puis Thriller... Je donne 8/10

Personnellement je ne la trouve pas si ringarde, d'une part parce que l'instrumentation me plaît beaucoup et sa voix est magnifique (pas facile de chanter si juste quand on subit sa voix qui mue... lol). Michael a cependant enregistré cet album alors qu'il n'était pas d'accord sur tous les points... La déchirure avec Motown semblait proche. Oui, les choeurs me font doucement sourire... Mais si on pourrait éventuellement s'en passer, ils n'attirent pas tant que cela l'attention de l'auditeur. Un classique !

certes la chanson est un peuuu ringarde mais michael se surpasse toujours et franchement elle n'est pas si facile à chanter enfin sa voix commence à muer et j'adore le tounant que ça donne

J'ai la même analyse que toi, c'est curieux. (Bon je sais elle était facile). J'ai hésité à la mettre dans la playlist de Motown In Love (vous pouvez pas savoir comme je réfléchis pour la prog des spécial Motown), je la trouve archi ringarde (comme beaucoup de chanson de Forever Michael), mais c'est quand même un tube incontournable de Motown, et qui plus est, ils nous l'ont sorti 3 fois en single, en 1975 (UK), puis en 1981 (USA), puis en 1983 (France) (alors que To Know n'est jamais sorti en single, c'est injuste).

ce morceau de michael a certe une sonorité un peu ringuarde surtout les choristes: ah ahaaaaaahaaaah! est assez insuportable mais la encore mickie fait la difference ! j'adore sa voix mi ado mi adulte on sent les premiers morceaux funk qui n'arriveront pas a tarder vquelques années apres. bref un titre culte malgre tout!
