Written by Michael with his brother Randy, and recorded by the Jacksons for their album, Destiny, issued in December 1978.

An early demo, recorded in 1978 and titled Shake A Body, was included in Michael's box-set The Ultimate Collection, issued in November 2004.

The Jacksons wanted to release this as the lead single from Destiny but their record company insisted on issuing Blame It On The Boogie first instead. It was then released as the second single from the album - charted at no.3 on the R&B singles chart and no.7 on the Hot 100 in the US, and no.4 in the UK. This version is only half the length of the album version - an extended Disco Remix was also released.
