Featured on the Jackson 5's album Get It Together, released in Septmeber 1973 in the US and November 1973 in the UK.

It became the second single lifted from the album, following the title cut, and became the group's most successful single since I'll Be There in 1970.

It hit no.1 for one week on the R&B singles chart in the US, but held at no.2 on the Hot 100 by Ray Stevens and his novelty smash, The Streak.

It sold over two million copies in the USA.

It failed to make the Top 50 singles chart in the UK, but registered at no.53 on the 'breakers' section at the chart.

The edited version featured on, and used as the title track of, the Jackson 5 album that followed Get It Together.

It was also the song that opened the Jacksons' Destiny Tour concerts.
