Written by Michael with John Barnes, and originally recorded in 1986 by Michael for Captain EO, the 3D-movie he filmed exclusively for Disney - premiered at the Epcot Centre on 12th September 1986.

Footage of Michael rehearsing the song in the studio has appeared on the internet - no official release.

Released for the first time on Michael's box-set, The Ultimate Collection, issued in November 2004.

Cover version recorded by Deniece Williams, for her 1989 album, As Good As It Gets.

I love Captain EO. I remember me and my sister memorized the dance steps from the video. It was so cool. Michael brought out the dancer in me and truly changed my world.

comme toi Webmaster, je suis allé une dizaine de fois au parc à marne la vallée pour voir ce short film mythique (j'avais meme planque dans mon maillot les lunettes 3d en sortant mais elles ont disparues (!!!) quand j'ai déménagé . que de souvenirs... j'espère juste que CAPTAIN EO sortira en officiel et pourquoi pas en 3d plus classique

Je devais avoir à peine quelques mois quand toi tu hantait le parc Disney (je suis née en 85)... Mais, j'ai commencé ma quête effrenée après que j'en ai entendu parler dans un reportage TV, je devais avoir 11 ans et je n'étais fan que depuis 1 an (que de temps perdu !!) C'est vrai la chanson a un peu vielli mais elle reste quand même un bon morçeau...

Je me rappelle que plus jeune, avant que ce titre ne soit présent dans le Ultimate Collection, c’étais la chanson rare qu’il fallais avoir à tous prix. Une quête désespérée pour trouver la meilleure qualité, une obsession, légitime dans le sens où elle est complètement géniale et symbole d’une époque de transition époque Bad. Je ne sais même plus combien de fois j’ai pu aller voir Captain EO au parc Disney rien que pour cette chanson, mais les adultes ou les non fans de l’époque devaient me prendre pour un fou extrémiste…c’est ça qui est cool !!

Aujourd’hui je l’écoute encore volontiers, même si elle manque un peu de tonus, le refrain, la mélodie rien à dire c’est du MJ pur jus mais elle as un peu vieillis dans les arrangements – trop basique quelques part et je suis impatient d’en entendre un remix fait par notre ami miXscape.
