Michael Jackson - Girlfriend

Written by Paul McCartney, and mentioned to Michael at a Hollywood party in 1978, as a song he might like to record. Nothing happened, so Paul recorded the song himself, for the Wings album, 'London Town'.

Brought to Michael's attention again by producer Quincy Joness, when they were looking for songs for Michael's first solo album as an adult. This time, Michael did record the song, and included it on Off The Wall, released in August 1979.

I love how this song sounds sweet, yet it's a cheating song. Paul McCartney has a knack for lyrics, and choosing the high, kooky vocals he was looking for wouldn't have been hard when handing the song over to Michael Jackson. A favourite, yet still can't compare to the brilliance of many of MJ's other songs.

I love Off the Wall every track is music perfection. An album i loved as i got older and grew to love and feel the music that represented my inner adult feeligs. An album to Love and dance too.
