Composed By Barrett Strong/Norman Whitfield
This was recorded by the Jackson 5 for their album, Get It Together, released in September 1973 in the US and November 1973 in the UK. The lead vocals - such as they were - by Jackie and Tito Jackson.
It was originally recorded by the Temptations, for their 1970 album, Psychedelic Shack - also recorded by another Motown act, Rare Earth, for their 1973 album, MA.
All three versions were produced by Norman Whitfield.
It is essentially an instrumental track, with scatting and improvised vocals - the song's chorus states, 'ain't no words in this song, you just dance and hum along.' Michael, in the Jackson 5 version, on hearing the song's chorus can be heard saying: 'Ain't no words? What you mean?' - to which Tito responds, 'we ain't had time to write none!'
